Nepal Kabaddi League Season 2 to Begin on June 5 at Rakhep Covered Hall
Nepal Kabaddi League (NKL) Season 2 is set to begin on June 5, 2026 at the Rakhep Covered Hall in Tripureshwor, featuring over 512 Nepali players and more than 100 international players from 15 countries

The second season of the Nepal Kabaddi League (NKL) will begin on June 5, 2026 (Jesth 22, 2083) at the Rakhep Covered Hall in Tripureshwor. The date for the second edition was officially announced by the organizer Astronix Management during a program held at Marriott Hotel on Monday.
Amit Kumar Begani, head of Astronix Management, stated that the first season exceeded expectations and marked the beginning of professionalism in Nepali kabaddi. He expressed commitment to making the second season even bigger and better.
According to Begani, 512 Nepali players and more than 100 international players from 15 countries have registered for the second season. This number is nearly double compared to the previous edition, indicating that the upcoming season will be much larger.
He also revealed that experienced players from India’s Pro Kabaddi League, along with top players from Iran, Korea, Poland, and other countries, are ready to participate in the NKL.
Astronix Management CEO Bikash Agarwal said that NKL Season 2 will be organized with a budget of around NPR 10 crore. The event was attended by Nepal Kabaddi Association President Tulsi Thapa, General Secretary Arvind Kumar Jha, and rapper Vyoma among others.
Astronix Management has also signed an agreement with Kantipur Max TV HD as the official broadcast partner for NKL Season 2. As per the agreement, the matches will be broadcast live on Kantipur Max TV HD.
In the first season, six teams — Biratnagar Bandits, Janakpur Knights, Kathmandu Mavericks, Pokhara Lakers, Himalayan Raiders (Butwal), and Dhangadhi Wildcats — competed in the tournament. Janakpur Knights won the title by defeating Kathmandu Mavericks 43–41 in the final.
